Winterberry Background Shaker Card | Caly Person
Hi, Friends!
This is Caly with you today and I’m sharing a shaker card made using the Winterberry Background cling stamp. This is one of my favorite background stamps by Pinkfresh Studio.
I began by stamping onto watercolor cardstock using a light hybrid ink that is watercolor-friendly. I mixed green and blue Liquid Watercolor for the foliage and watercolored that first.
After completing the foliage, I added a light wash or Candy Apple Liquid Watercolor over the berries. I thought it would be easiest to shade with colored pencils so I chose a bright red with a dark red. Because the watercolor paper has a lot of tooth to it, it isn’t smooth coverage, but I thought it would be easier than shading tiny berries with watercolor.
To give my card interest, I die-cut the border with the Diagonal Stitched Rectangles. Then I created a shaker frame using the smaller die from the Stitched Scallop Rectangles die. I added acetate to create my frame and then filled my shaker window with green Crystals.
To finish today’s card, I embossed a sentiment from the Tree Trimming Friends stamp set in white over black cardstock, then attached it to my card using a bit of foam adhesive only to the overhang to give it support and liquid adhesive across the window.
I hope you enjoyed this card! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

THis card is absolutely stunning! I love how you used water colour with the pencil crayons. It is such a good idea, and going to have to keep that in mind. Especially for very tiny details, I seem to mess is up with watercolour. The results are amazing and brilliant.
