Sweet Scalloped Detail for Tags / Anne Fiene
Hi everyone! It's Anne here up on the blog today with some fun and bright gift tags with a scallop detail using the new Slim Stitched Scalloped Rectangles die set.
I knew I wanted to make more than one tag and I wanted to play with color a bit so I die cut out, using Pinkfresh's Classic Tags die set, a number of white and colored cardstock tags. I drew a couple of lines down each of the tags knowing that that was where I was going to put the scalloped strips. Then I picked out some ink, ending up with Sweet Mustard and Bubble Gum on white. I loved that bright pink and yellow on white!
I pulled a little leaf and berry stamp from the Merry and Bright Frame stamp set and used a stamping block to sort of vine the stamp up and down the tags with the penciled lines helping me to keep them centered. Then I pulled out my colored pencils to color in the images. The stitched scalloped rectangle die was used on more white cardstock and was adhered to the tags with some foam tape. The scalloped detail is too sweet!
I had fun with Pinkfresh's Artistic Bows die set on a pearly specialty paper to make a couple pretty little bows. The sentiments came from the Sending Love and Hugs and Floral Notes stamp sets.
For my Christmas-y tags I followed the same process using the Slumber and Berrylicious ink pads on a patterned blue paper and pink cardstock.
The "fa la la la la" sentiment (yes, I had to sing as I working) came from another stamp set from the holiday release, Tree Trimming Friends. And I decorated the tags a bit more with some of Pinkfresh's sparkly Crystals.
I hope some of my design choices inspire you to make something new today. Thanks so much for coming by!
