Oh Happy Day Shaker | Cheryl Espie
Hi crafty friends
For today's post I thought I would design a shaker card. I haven't created one for a while. I was looking at the brand new Border Stencils from the Happiness Release and really wanted to use them for a multi coloured background.
As I was using a product from the new release, I thought I would also choose some florals from it. Therefore, I chose the Be Fearless Press Plate so I could hot foil it.
To begin, I chose three colours to ink blend with the Border Stencils. I knew I would also want these three colours for my florals. The colours I went with are some good OG's, Ballet Slipper, Peach Fuzz and Mint.
With the stencils I ink blended the Ballet Slipper first, then flipped the stencil over so the lines were in the opposite direction, the ink blended in Mint. I repeated this process for the Peach Fuzz and finished with another Ballet Slipper.
Using the Terrarium Die that was released last May, and the recently released Notched Corner Frames, I die cut a front panel. This gave me a window in which I added some clear acetate. To attach it I used double sided sticky tape as it's so strong and I seem to get on better with that than glue.
After layering up some for tape, and dusting with embossing powder, I added some Iridescent Clear Drops from my stash. When I was satisfied with the amount added, I adhered my striped die cut panel to the back. My shaker was born!!
After attaching the shaker onto an A2 card base, it was time to add florals and the base of the terrarium (which I die cut from silver cardstock). The Be Fearless Stamp Suite has coordinating stencils and dies. So, using the same coloured inks I ink blended the flowers with the stencils. After die cutting them, I then I arrange them to the left and popped them up with foam dots.
When choosing a sentiment I really wanted it to be bold. I pulled out the Foiled Sentiments and added the 'Oh Happy Day', how cute is that?!
Added some dots and extra bling and voila!! Either a wedding shaker, an engagement shaker, or a birthday shaker-you choose!

Until next time....
