Hello again Pinkfresh friends!

I love using frames in my designs and lately I've become addicted to creating grids with them, so I thought I'd share some ideas that hopefully will inspire you!

For my first project I used the Nested elongated oval blanket dies:

I started this project applying white embossing paste to my cardbase using one of the layers of the Kaleodoscope stencil and set it aside to dry.  Next up I cut out several ovals, (two medium ovals and three small ovals) with the Nested Elongated Oval Blanket Stitch die and Nectar cardstock. I foam mounted these ovals onto my embossed background once it was dry and creating this fun pattern.

For the sentiment I used the Basic sentiments die to cut out a white hello die cut. I ink blended this die cut with Coral Reef and Passion Fruit and foam mount it on the center of the card.

To decorate these ovals, I used Matte Gold glimmer foil and the Print Shop: Modern Botanicals press plate. I colored these gorgeous florals with Coral Reaf, Pasion Fruit, Sweet Mustard, Eucaliptus, Spruce Tips, Grassy Knoll and Olive.

For my next project I used the new Nested Squares Diagonal Stitch dies. My idea was to use just one frame die in the center of the card and match the cardbase color with the color of this center frame: Light blue.

To add a little bit of texture, I used the Dotted Petals Press plates and Cherry Blossom ink to create a background. I trimmed part of this background and adhered it to the back of my light blue frame. I foam mounted this frame onto a 4 by 4 inch square panel and glued it onto a square 4 1/4 by 4 1/4 cardbase.

I embellished this card with this beautiful array of flowers from the Cheerful Blossoms Press Plate in Matte Gold glimmer foil and colored them with: Peony, Begonia, Apricot, Sky blue, Summer Shower, Grassy knoll and Olive.

The sentiment I used from the set is from the Always Smiling stamp set.

For my third project I used the Nested Hexagons Double Stitche die:

I always love to add some extra texture or fun detail to my backgrounds and for this one I applied white embossing paste onto an A2 panel using one of the layers or the Border Stencils. Next up I die cut four hexagons out of light mint blue cardstock with the Nested Hexagons Double Stitche die. I also cut out a diecut with the new Interlaced Diamonds die out of white cardstock and adhered parts of this diecut piece behind the two largest hexagons.

To add contrast to this background I arranged lots of flowers in the hexagons in bright colors. I used again the Print Shop: Modern Botanicals press plate with Matte Gold glimmer foil and colored these beauties using the Print Shop Botanicals coordinating stencils. I used Cherry Blossoms, PeonyCandy Apple, Mimosa, Grassy Knoll, Olive and Spruce Tips, I used again the Basic sentiments die to cut out my sentiment out of light green cardstock and inked up this sentiment with my blending brushes in Grassy knoll and Olive.

For my last project I simply die cut an oval out of blue cardstock using the Nested elongated oval blanket dies

For my background I used one of the Fancy Edgers dies to add that beautiful lace detail at the bottom of my panel. The flowers if this card are from the new Cheerful Blossoms Press Plate & coordinating stencil and die

To color these flowers I used Apricot, Sparkling Rose, Raspberry Bliss, Sky Blue, Summer Shower, Olive, Grassy Knoll and Spruce Tips.

I also used the Basic sentiments die to cut out this light blue Thanks diecut.

I hope you find these projects inspiring and thank you so much for stopping by!

Hugs,

Raquel
