Wintery Herb Garden | Anne Fiene

Wintery Herb Garden | Anne Fiene

Hi everyone! I had some fun with creative color choices and used Pinkfresh Studio's new Herb Garden stamp, stencil, and die to create a pretty, wintery-themed herb garden! I added a sentiment to make it appropriate for many occasions.

I started with a slightly oversized (4 1/2 X 5 3/4 in.) panel of white cardstock and used one of PFS's large blending brushes to blend Slumber onto it (I love this periwinkle shade of blue!). Then, it went into my MISTI. As I moved the stamp around to get the random placement I was looking for, I was okay with the stamp fitting only partially into the stamping platform. Everything worked out as long as the impression of the stems onto my paper was solid. I used Slumber to stamp the stems onto my panel, as well as white heat embossed a few.

When I finished the backing panel, I taped it to my cardbase and made another shaded cardstock panel with Slumber. I used this second panel to stencil and die-cut a few branches of the Herb Garden stamp to pop up over the background. I brought in Metropolis to stamp some of the branches. And I used Slumber and Storm with the stencil to color a few of them.

Once I got the stems popped up over my A-2 sized cardbase. I used more foam tape to pop up a sentiment from the Thinking of You stamp and die sets. Then, using the Garden Party die, I colored and die-cut small orange circles and glued them to the card. Then, I put PFS's new Iridescent Dew Drops on top of some. These "dew drops" are clear throughout and will take on the color you place them over. And they shimmer! So pretty!

I used the Trees die to create small white snowflakes/stars/flowers. Then, I was done with my wintery-themed herb garden card!

I hope that some of these design choices have inspired you to make something new today. Thanks so much for stopping by!
