Using Cutfiles with Office Hours & Just a Little Lovely | Kathleen Graumüller
Hey friends, it's Kathleen back with you again and today I have two layouts to share for which I used the new, beautiful exclusive cutfiles you can get in the Pinkfresh Studio shop!
I have to admit, I don't use cutfiles very often because it's always a bit of a hassle for me setting everything up. I can't leave my die cutting machine out and ready to go, so I'm often just too lazy to get it out and cut something, haha.
But the new Pinkfresh Studio cutfiles were just too cute to pass them up and I actually had a hard time deciding which ones I wanted to use!
For the first project I used the Office Hours cutfile to create my own little home office scene. This is not a style I usually do (mainly because of a lack of ideas) but with the Office Hours collection it was just so much fun and really easy!
I first planned on backing all the elements of the cutfile and even cut out the stack of books, bookshelf and cuppa stems cutfiles on a small scale to use in this scene, too. But then there were just too many perfect elements in the different embellishment packages that I ended up not using the cutfiles.
I think I used pieces from each type of embellishment minus the Fabric Ephemera Pack and Cardstock Stickers. The Wood Accent Stickers were perfect to use as posters on the home office wall for which I used the Dreams paper B-side.
The desk lamp, stack of books, keyboard & mouse and box on the shelf are from the Ephemera Pack. The planter on the desk and the globe are from the Chipboard Stickers and the coffee cup and books on the shelf are Puffy Stickers.
I was even able to mix in some pieces from the Mixed Embellishment Pack (the wall clock and the printer). Some other pieces were fussy cut from the Organize and Inspiration paper. They both contain so many elements that have the perfect size! So don't forget to check your papers for fussy cutting opportunities!
Finally, for the floor I used the B-side of the Possibility paper from Just a Little Lovely. It reminds me of beautiful Spanish or Portuguese tile, and who wouldn't love to have that in their home office?! For the title I used the Office Hours Puffy Alpha Stickers. The color and size matched the layout perfectly.
Oh, and of course I had to add a screenshot of my blog behind the computer screen ;)
The second layout is a little more "typical" for me, with lots of white space and flowers! I mainly used Just a Little Lovely for this one, apart from three of the banners for which I used paper scraps from Office Hours.
The cutfile I used here is called Floral Banner and is one of my favorites! You may have already seen some of my DT colleagues' gorgeous layouts with this one.
After I was done backing the cutfile, I adhered it with foam adhesive to my background to create some dimension and to be able to tuck some pieces behind it. I used a few flowers from the Acetate Ephemera Pack and also some flowers and leaves that I had die cut from the Eucalyptus Fantasy and Painted Florals washi tapes.
If you haven't checked out the Pinkfresh Studio washi tapes yet, make sure to do so! For almost all of them there are coordinating dies available so you can easily and quickly cut out the elements and use them as die cuts on your projects. So fun!
To finish off the page, I added some Puffy Stickers and a sticker from the Mixed Embellishment Pack around my photo. The title "enjoy" from the Puffy Phrase Stickers had the perfect color and size and fit the theme of this page perfectly!
And of course I had to splatter some paint around and add some enamel dots - I just love these gold glittery ones from the Mixed Embellishment Pack!
That's it from me today! I hope you enjoyed these projects and maybe feel inspired to use some of the Pinkfresh Studio cutfiles, too!
Thanks for stopping by! Xo, Kathleen
