Hello everyone! It' s Susi on the Pinkfresh Studio blog! Today, I'm thrilled to share a new layout featuring the Making the Best of it collection, this time in spanish. Pinkfresh collections in spanish - a dream come true for all spanish-speaking scrapbookers.
I went with a sunburst design. I felt the photo needed it since my niece is looking at the sun.
To create the sunburst effect, I've followed the color pattern of the No risk no magic paper from the collection; red, yellow, green, mint, blue and orange! Opting for a black and white photo helps balance the page without overwhelming it. I used a large photo- 7"h x 3"w.
Next, let's craft the sun rays. Cut the patterned papers into triangles and arrange them on the page to form a square around the 7"x 7" inch photo. Adding dynamism, I've machine-stitched the sun rays and folded up the ends.
Now, let's play with stencils and inks. I`ve used the Fall Foliage Stencil and coordinating die to create branches and leaves in the colors of the layout. My chosen inks include Passion Fruit, Sweet Mustard, Evergreen, Mint, Storm and Rocky Slope. In the upper right corner, I've used a grey and red vellum floral embellishment. I love these delicate and elegant floral vellum ephemera. On this corner I've also placed the title and added more embellishments like Chipboard Flair.
I create clusters with the branches and leaves and arrange them using the tone on tone technique,As a finishing touch, I've added a beautiful butterfly from the ephemera pack, more chipboard flair and enamel dots
.
To add texture, I've machine sewn all the layout's edges with white thread. I love incorporating these small details into my pages. I love the layering and texture it all create. I really had fun creating this layout, Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
See you next time!
