BIG PICUTRE FRAME / KERSTIN SCHEIDLER
My husband's birthday is in April and I wanted to surprise him with a new photo of me for his desk. For the photo, I stopped in a park where the cherry blossoms were in bloom. I took this photo and I think it's the perfect birthday surprise.
My photo frame measures 7 x 7 inches. I printed the photo slightly larger and cut it to size.
I chose the papers Cherish Today, Live in the Moment and Made with Love from the Picture Perfect 12 x 12 Paper Pack. I cut the papers to the size 10 x 7 inches and folded them at 1/2" / 1" / 1 1/2" / 8 1/2" / 9" / 9 1/2". I chose a border width of 1/2 inch for the cut-out. I folded the three papers and glued them together.
I cut acetate in the size 5 x 7 inch (2x) and folded at 1 inch and 2 inch. I assembled / glued the frame as follows: Photo - glue the last fold of the three frames behind the photo - acetate also behind the photo - photo with frames and acetat on the cardboard.
I decorated with various elements from the wonderful PICTURE PERFECT collection. I glued various quotes from the Ephemera Pack into the folds of the frames using 3D Foam. Phrases from the Chipboard Frames, of course Puffy Stickers, a few Cardstock Stickers and Enamel dots!
The acetat didn't hold the way I thought it would, so I attached it to the first frame with a quick-release adhesive.
I hope you like this idea of a photo frame. This frame can be placed anywhere. My husband really liked his gift! I will definitely be making a few more of these! I already know where I'm going to put them.
Thanks for stopping by and have a creative week!
Kerstin xx
