Remember This Day Journal Album | Celes Gonzalo
Hello to all the fans of Pinkfresh Studio! It's Celes here ;) And Happy Valentine's Day! The most romantic day of the year. But I have a proposal to make you... Let's document the whole month to celebrate love! Do you like journaling? This is your opportunity to mix a bit of journaling, documenting, scrapbook and hot foiling! And... shaker baby YAY!
I felt in love with the Arch Backdrop Set (Arch Backdrop Die, Arch Backdrop Hot Foil Plate) since I saw it. So I decided to make the cover of my journal album with it. I combined the positive and negative of the hot foil to prepare my shaker.
For the STRUCTURE: you need 3 pieces of cardboard. Two of 4 1/2" w x 5 3/4" h and one of 2 1/4" w x 5 3/4" h for the spine. Use the Arch Backdrop Die to shape your spine piece (mark the upper outer contour of the die with a pencil and cut). You can cover both covers with white paper. For the spine and as an extra detail for the back cover I used the The Best Days Paper Pack.
Also I added the same pink ribbon that I used to make the closing of the album ;)
Tip: to add the inner paper, wait until you have the whole structure assembled.
For the COVER: the absolute protagonist is Arch Backdrop Set (Arch Backdrop Die, Arch Backdrop Hot Foil Plate. As I told you before I used the positive and negative of the hot foiling pieces (remember you need the Solid Hot Foil Plate). Also I used the Essentials: Simple Edgers Die Set to cut a small piece to be able to close the shaker. Isn't it like a beautiful rainbow?
I combined the Arch Backdrop Set with the Brigther Days Set ( Brigther Days Hot Foil Plate, Brigther Days Die,Brigther Days Layered Stencils ). Those flowers are sooo beautiful :). To make them I used white cardstock and vellum with the Premium Dye Inks: Raspberry Bliss, Bubble Gum, Ballet Slipper. The fianl touch was the new and amazing Metallic Pearls: Matte Gold IN LOVE!
Tip: I used the Glimmer Hot Foil Matte Gold from Spellbinder. It was the perfect match for my metallic pearls ;)
Shaker: I combined the Essentials: Crystals Mix and some white sequins.
My final detail (and that gave the name to my project) was a piece from the Happy Blooms Journaling Bits.
For the SPINE: using one of the flowers that I made with the Brigther Days Set ( Brigther Days Hot Foil Plate, Brigther Days Die,Brigther Days Layered Stencils ) was the perfect detail! It looks wonderful next to the threads of the booklets. Just remember to add it once you have finish with your project ;)
Detail of the closing of the album: I used the same wonderfull pink ribbon you saw earlier.
Journaling books: I prepared five booklets of 10 pages each one. You can make as many as you like (just keep in mind the measurements of the spine).
I used white medium weight cardstock. Cut 5 pieces of 8 1/2" w x 5 1/4" h (fold in half widthwise). And for the covers of each booklet I used papers from the Happy Blooms Paper Pack.
Once you have all the booklets ready, measure and punch your spine for all of them. Remember to center them and bring the perforations at least 7/8" inwards (bottom)
Time to decorate! I prepared a different decorations for each journaling book using many of the embellishments from the Happy Bloom Collection ( Happy Blooms Puffy Stickers , Happy Blooms Puffy Alpha Stickers, Happy Blooms Puffy Frames, Happy Blooms Journaling Bits, Happy Blooms Flora Ephemera, Happy Blooms Ephemera) Also added some enamel dots (Holiday Magic Enamel Dots and The Best Day Enamel Dots) and details with pink thread.
You are ready to document all the LOVE! YAY! :)
Thanks for stopping by! And I hope you like this idea <3
See you next time!
