Office Hours Layouts | Ashley Horton
Hello friends!! It's Ashley here today, and I'm excited to share some layouts with you using the fun Office Hours collection! I love that this collection has it's own specific theme that you can use on your projects, but you can also make it work for an everyday project. It's always fun to get creative with the collections, and make them work for your project/projects.
I used the collection for a work themed layout for the first one I'm sharing today. Since being in the scrapbook industry is my work, I decided I just had to document the Design Team photo from being back on the PF team!
I wanted to create my own background for this layout, using the Busy patterned paper and the Prioritize patterned paper. This is a design element I've used before, and I really love the way it looks. I used one of my larger punches to punch circles from the patterned papers and then I cut each of the circles in half. Once I had them arranged in a scallop pattern on the white cardstock background, I machine stitched along the top of each row for added texture.
When I got ready to add my photo, title and embellishments, I decided to place them in two clusters. I didn't want to cover up too much of the background and this was the perfect solution. I placed the photo on the top left and added my title right beside it. I love the tone on tone look of the Puffy Alpha Stickers over the patterned papers in the background. I love to have different textures and dimension in my embellishment clusters, so I used a mix of ephemera pieces, wood accent stickers, puffy stickers and mixed embellishments around my photo.
The second embellishment cluster really balances out the larger one on the left hand side. To help it stand out on it's own, I added some dimensional foam behind some of the pieces. I also mixed in some embellishments that mirrored the same colors of the ones in the larger cluster.
On my second layout, I decided to go a little out of the box of the office theme of the collection. I looked for embellishments that I could use for an everyday themed layout, and I love the result. I also incorporated a couple of the Freebie Cut Files that are exclusive to the Pinkfresh Studio Fan Group on Facebook.
I started by combining the #7/8 and #17 cut files to create a large title, that I cut from the Organize patterned paper. I really love the ombre effect it created for the title. And I just had to use the Inspiration patterned paper for my background. It's one of my favorites! I just love that pop of Yellow. And the lines between each of the color sections were perfect for adding some hand-stitching.
I placed the title on the lower portion of the layout, so I could add my photo to the top. Most of my embellishing is focused around the photo. I like to have all of the little bits and pieces peeking out from behind the photo. To bring some balance to the layout, I did add a few embellishments around the title. The little flower/plant ephemera pieces are great for any type of layout.
I hope you've had a chance to grab some of the Office Hours collection! If not, make sure you visit the Pinkfresh Studio store to check it out. And I hope you've found some inspiration today, to use on your next project!
