Hello Scheveningen Lovely View | Happy Hearts collection | Josefine vd Hoeven
Hello Paperlovers, Welcome to the blog of Pinkfresh Studio today! I have new scrapbook inspiration for you with the beautiful and stunning "Happy Heart" collection. I am enjoying the beautiful and sunny days we have for so far. I feel that summer is on the rise. I live near The Hague and love to go to the beach in Scheveningen.
I started to draw a circle on my white cardstock background. Then I stitched a double circle with pink sewing thread. I love to work with ink and for this layout I made a mixed media background with the following colors "Sweet Mustard" and "Marigold" I mix the ink with water and with a cleaning sponge I make some light stains. I dry my background with a kitchen roll. Of course I also make some splashes with a brush.
I cut several patterned papers to size and place them behind the photo. Using double-sided 3D tape, I stick the paper and photo in the center of the circle. I choose a few frames and create a cluster of frames, die-cuts and flowers on the left side of the photo.
I placed the word "lovely" from the title ephemera die-cuts horizontally on the photo and complete it with the word "view" for which I used the mini alpha set. For the large title "Hello Scheveningen" I used the sea green alpa set from the collection "Life right now" I really love how it turned out. I fussy cut two butterflies from the pattern paper and gave them a place on my layout.
Because I use 3D tape, you can see how beautiful the layers are in my cluster. I take some yellow sewing thread and place a piece of it between the created layers. I love little details on my layout like the little enamel dots. I place three small pink dots in different spots.
I decide to give my mixed media background some extra color. I do that with splatters. The colors I used for this are "Blue Jay" and "Raspberry Bliss" the white splatters I make with the gesso give my layout a bit of a beach look.
I hope I was able to inspire you with this pre summer layout. The beautiful "Happy Hearts" is so versatile that you can document different seasons with this great collection. I wish you lots of crafting fun and hope to see you next time on the Pinkfresh Studio blog with a new layout. Have a great day friends!
