Sweet Blossoms ideas
Happy Friday Pinkfresh friends!
Raquel here again on the blog with some super easy to make designs using both the Sweet Blossoms set and the Stylized Florals set.
I just adore these new sets. The possibility of ink blending your flowers and then cut them out makes them so unique and versatile. You can of course decide to just die cut your cardstock but I prefer to add some shading before die cutting.
I started out by randomly ink blending some flowers and leaves using the Sweet Blossoms set. I rarely have a clear idea in my mind about what my project will be so most of the times I start with color and let it decide the rest. I chose Key Lime, Grassy Knoll, Olive, Sage, Eucalyptus, Spruce Tips, Ocean Breeze, Mermaid Cove, Tidal Pond, Sky Blue, Stargazer, Waterfall, Turquoise and Atlantis for my greenery.
Once I had all the leaves I decided to create more bluish branches for a special touch. Then I used the stencil to color the flowers and I went with Soft Lilac, Raspberry Bliss, Ballet Slippers, Begonia, Sunshine, Sweet Mustard, Marigold, Mimosa, Passion Fruit, Candy Apple, Grassy Knoll and Waterfall.
For my background I ink blended the edges of an A2 panel with Spruce Tips and then I dry emboss this panel with the the Floral Lace die. Next up I cut out a piece of the Simply Diamonds die and foam mounted my flowers clockwise leaving a small gap in the center to place my sentiment. I chose this sentiment from the Wildflower Bouquet set.
Since I had some leftover flowers and leaves I decided to create another project using the Stylized Flowers set too.
To color these flowers I used: Cherry Blossom, Begonia, Sunkissed, Mimosa, Citron, Sweet Mustard, Candy Violet, Regal Kiss, Grassy Knoll and Olive.
I decided to use the new Sending Love hot foil to create some texture for my background and even cut out another piece of this hot foil image for some dimension. I arranged my flowers diagonally and use the sentiment from the same set.
Finally I created some tags using the Shaker Tag Book Die set and the Essential Stitched Scallop die and simply adhered some flowers from the Sweet Blossoms set. I also used the Best Wished Cardstock Stickers for my sentiments.
I hope you like these ideas and have fun creating. If you're like me, you'll want to try almost all the colors so you'll end up with lots of flowers ready to use on any project.
Thank you so much for stopping by and happy crafting!
Raquel
