Simplest Gestures | TaeEun Yoo
Hello Pinkfresh friends! Hope you’re having a great week so far! It’s TaeEun here today with a floral birthday card. My card features the Simplest Gestures product suite from the latest release. To stencil the image I used the color palette of the current monthly challenge with the theme “Anything Spring”.
To start I stamped the Simplest Gestures image in Detail Black ink and stenciled the flowers in Sparkling Rose, Bubble Gum, Berrylicious, Sunshine and Apricot using the Layering stencil set. The leaves were stenciled in Mint and a bit of Tidal Pond.
After the stenciling was done I cut the image using the coordinating die.
To add more mint to the card I made a circle frame in mint. I ink blended a white panel in Mint and hot foiled two circles in turquoise using the Nested Circles hot foil plate. I then cut it into a frame using the Nested Circles die set.
On a white cardbase I adhered a panel which was cut using the Floral Tiles coverplate die and foam mounted the circular frame on it. I also added three Curvy Leaves die cut branches to the background as shown in the picture. The Simplest Gestures image was then placed on the circle using foam tape.
The sentiment is from Fancy Script Words set. I hot foiled the birthday sentiment in turquoise, cut with the coordinating die and added it to the card. To add some bling to the card I embellished the center of the flowers with Bubble Gum Jewels.
The May monthly challenge is all about Spring! You could use some Spring colors like the colors provided in the challenge graphic or add some Spring flowers! Make some projects with fresh spring-y touch and play along! Please check out the Monthly Challenge page for all the inspiration and challenge rules! I’d love to see your projects in the gallery!
That’s it from me for today. Hope you enjoyed looking my card!
Thanks for stopping by!
