Folk Edge Square Background | TaeEun Yoo
Hi Pinkfresh friends! Hope you’re having a great week so far! It’s TaeEun here today with a thank you card featuring Folk Edge Square die set and Folk Garden 2 set. I made a lattice background using the small Folk Edge Square frame.
I started by cutting the smallest Folk Edge Square frame several times from Mixed Media paper. I adhered an A2 sized Mixed Media paper panel on a white cardbase and glued the Folk Edge Square frames on it as rhombi as shown in the picture. I then ink blended the panel in Coral Reef, Meadow and a bit of Rocky Slope. Next I sprayed pearl water over the panel for some shine and to blend the colors more softly. After the panel was dry I pressed the card with a heavy book for a while to flatten it. The white Folk Edge Squares were then added to the card using foam tape.
I hot foiled the Folk Garden 2 in red and stenciled it using the layering stencil set. I used Raspberry Bliss and Candy Apple for the flowers, Misty Coast and Meadow for the first layer of the leaves and Rocky Slope for the second layer of the leaves. After stenciling was done I cut them using the coordinating die. I cut the Leafy Branch from some white cardstock and inked it in Meadow. I arranged the Leafy Branch and the floral elements from Folk Garden 2 on the card.
For the sentiment I cut the Thanks from Scripted Greetings four times from white cardstock, once from a piece of cardstock which I ink blended in Candy Apple. I layered them all up and added it to the shadow layer in vellum. I finished off the card with a few red Crystals.
That’s it from me for today. I think it is a fun way to make a background pattern using the Essentials die sets :) ! Hope you enjoyed looking my card!
Thanks for stopping by!
