Hello Pinkfresh friends!

Raquel here today with some warm fall projects. I do love fall and fall colors so I thought it would be fun to create some fall themed cards with the Fall Leaf die.

I started my first project cutting out several leaves out of white cardstock. I always prefer using white cardstock rather than using colored cardstock. For these leaves I used Cherry Blossom, Persimmon, Bay leaf and Marigold. I intentionally overlapped those colors to get a more realistic look. Once I colored all these four leaves I foam mounted onto other leaves I had cut out from Champagne Glitter cardstock.

Next up I inked up the left and bottom part of an A2 panel with the same colors I used to ink up my leaves. I wanted to add some texture to this background so I dry embossed the Twist Pattern Press Plate onto this panel and then foam mounted my leaves on top. To finish up this card I created a cream frame with the new Blanket Stitched Octagons die and foiled the Here for you sentiments press plates with Aura Glimmer hot foil. As a final touch I added some Champagne Glitter drops.

For my next project I colored my leaves with the same colors I used on my previous card except Cherry Blossom. To arrange all these leaves, I used the largest of the new Nested Elongated Ovals die to cut out an oval on an A2 panel and then colored this panel with the new 1" blending brush using Cherry Blossom.

To create my background, I used the Stippled Press Plate to add some texture, foam mounted the oval frame on top and arranged my leaves coming out of the left and right side of the frame. I added some Gold Glitter drops and some white heat embossed vellum leaves from the Joyful Day stamp set. For the sentiment I used the Here for you sentiment stamp set.

For my last project I wanted to create a frame design using this fall leaf die to create that frame so I went ahead and cut out 6 leaves out of white cardstock. To add some additional interest, I thought it would be a good idea to build a double frame using one of those negative die cut pieces I had just cut out. These negative die cuts are great for techniques so I kept some of them to use a stencil. The one I used was 4 1/4" by 3 inches and it worked as a charm.

Once I had stenciled my background I colored the leaves following the same color scheme I had used for my background: Marigold, Bay Leaf, Clementine, Persimmon and Mermaid Cove. I applied the latter with a very soft hand since I didn't want it to be too distracting from the rest of the warm tone leaves. Next up I foam mounted all the leaves offsetting them a bit so the colored shadow underneath each leave was visible and added lots of splatters using gold watercolor.

As a final touch I added some Sparkling Champagne Gold pearls and foam mounted the sentiment in the center of the card. This sentiment is also from the Here for you stamp set. I also white heat embossed a subsentiment from the stamp set Nothing but the best.

I really hope these ideas inspire you!.

Keep an eye on Pinfresh Studio instagram account for the reel I made for this card and thank you so much for stopping by!

See you soon friends,

Raquel
