Hi friends! It's Angela here, back with a festive holiday card featuring a few items from the most recent Pinkfresh Studio holiday release. Since we could always use some extra time for holiday crafting, I was super excited to see all of these festive products arrive in September. I'll probably still be down to the wire when it comes to getting all of my cards finished, but at least I've been able to get a bit of a head start this year!

I began this project with foiling a set of Ornaments in matte silver foil, then proceeded to color them in with Pinkfresh inks in Candy Apple, Sparkling Rose, Mermaid Cove and Ocean Breeze. When it comes to pink, I love it at all holidays, from Valentine's Day and Easter to Halloween and Christmas! After the stencil work was done, I used the Ornaments Die to cut them all out at once. While die cutting, I also created my textured background panel with the Hexagon Tiles Cover Plate, trimming it down to 3.5" x 4.75" in order to leave a nice border on a white A2 card base.

As for the sentiment, there's a new set in Pinkfresh's Brushed Sentiment lineup - Brushed Sentiments Holiday. Like the original every-day ones, this suite comes with a stamp set, hot foil plates and coordinating die, and if you're looking for sentiments that are on the bigger side, definitely be sure to check these out. You can mix and match many of them, and for my card I chose Christmas Cheer, which I foiled in matte silver to match the ornaments.

Finally, it was time for assembly. I arranged some of the ornaments in a cascading fashion down the right hand side of the background panel, using temporary tape to hold them all together on the front while I applied double-sided adhesive tape to the back. This made it really easy to ensure they all stayed in their places, and once they were secured to the card, I followed with the Christmas Cheer sentiment.

As is always the case near the end of a card project, there was the to-embellish-or-not-to-embellish decision to be made. I considered adding some silver pearls, but ended up deciding not to since there was already some really nice shine happening on the foiled elements. Less is more sometimes, ya know?

Thank you so much for stopping by to check out my project today. Perhaps it's inspired you to get cracking with your holiday cardmaking too, and if you need even more eye candy, be sure to check out the full new release here. You'll find all sorts of project examples for each new product. Until next time, happy crafting!
