Amazing Things - Watercolored | TaeEun Yoo
Hello, Pinkfresh friends! Hope you’re having a great week so far. It’s TaeEun here with a beautiful watercolor floral card. As you may know, we are thrilled to announce the addition of new watercolors to our shop. This exciting release is coming soon, and we can't wait for you to see it. Today, I want to give you a sneak peek of these vibrant new watercolors.
To begin, I pressed the floral image of the Amazing Things suite onto a Pinkfresh Studio Watercolor paper panel using the press plate and Detail Black ink. As Detail Black ink is watercolor-friendly, you can use it for watercoloring!
Next, I watercolored the image. I colored the flowers in two tones - pink and orange. First, I colored the flowers in Bubble Gum, Coral Reef and Marigold and added Clementine and Raspberry Bliss to darken the base of the petals. The base layer of the leaves was colored in Sky blue and Lavender, and I added Stargazer for some depth.
Once I finished watercoloring, I die cut the image using the coordinating die.
To create the background, I cut Pinkfresh Studio watercolor paper into an A2 panel and watercolored the outer part of it in Sky Blue, keeping the center uncolored. I then made the perimeter darker using Stargazer and Sapphire. To enhance the ombré effect, I ink blended the perimeter again using the same ink colors.
For added texture in the background, I cut the panel using the Ornate Medallions coverplate die and splattered white opaque ink on it.
I adhered the background panel flat on a white cardbase, arranged some white branches which were cut using the Curvy Leaves die, and foam mounted the watercolored Amazing Things image to it.
The sentiment from the same set was pressed also in Detail Black. I die cut two more sentiments from white cardstock, stacked them, and adhered it on a vellum heart cut using the small Shaker Heart die.
To finish off the card, I scattered five Starry Sky Ombré Glitter Drops.
That’s it from me for today! Hope you enjoyed the making process of my card!
Have a crafty day!

TaeEun, I am SO excited to hear all about these new watercolors! I have several pan sets and quite often I simply use my Distress inks – I’d love to know how liquid watercolors compare!
In the meantime, Pinkfresh knew just who to choose to show how gorgeous they work – you have such a way with water-y color, my friend!
