You & Me: My Favorite Story layout
Hello crafty friends! It's Jung here, and today I'm sharing a layout that I created with the Pinkfresh Studio My Favorite Story collection. I really love the black & white details mixed in with all the pastel and florals in this collection, and I wanted to highlight that.
I am scrapping a pic of my husband and I from a few years ago. I wanted your eye to be drawn to the photo, so I added layers and clusters of embellishments around the photo.
I started off by using the sapphire watercolor to add some color to white cardstock. I wanted that bold color, so I used to dropper to add big drops. I also used a small paintbrush to add some splatter.
Next, I started working on the layers behind the photo. I used some pattern papers, ephemera, and I also diecut my favorite scalloped edge from the Lacey Edgers 1 die set out of white cardstock to layer behind the photos. I added some machine stitching, and popped some of the layers with foam adhesive.
To add even more details, I added floral ephemera, enamel dots, and a layered stitched heart around my photo. I also added a banner ephemera, one of the fabric bows, and my title directly onto the photo.
To balance off the heavy upper right corner, I added my journaling and a few pieces of layered ephemera to the lower left of my layout.
I love how this layout turned out, and I hope you do too!
I also want to share my iNSD monochromatic challenge . You can find all about my challenge HERE, in case you missed it. You still have until Saturday May 9th to play along.
I decided to use the beautiful pinks in the Pinkfresh Studio My Favorite Story and Noteworthy collections. I also used the Floral Hoop cutfile from PFS, which couldn't be more perfect for my layout.
Thanks so much for joining me today. I hope you were inspired by my layouts, and I hope you have a chance to get crafty!
