Simple & Sweet rainbow layouts
Hello Pinkfresh Studio fans! It's Jung here, and today I'm sharing 2 rainbow layouts featuring the Simple & Sweet collection.
For my first layout, I used my photo as the jumping off point, and I decided to use a quote as my title and main focus.
On a piece of white cardstock, I used a cloud stencil and blue ink to lightly add a few clouds onto my background. I used the Happy Life, Fresh Air, and Good Company pattern papers to cut the letters of my quote using my silhouette machine. I arranged the colors in rainbow order, then lightly adhered them to my layout. I didn't glue them down all the way, because I like the texture that the raised edges gives. I did add some machine stitching through the letters to make sure the letters stay on my layout. I also used the blue puffy alpha stickers to finish off my quote.
Next I layered my photo onto a piece of Simplicity pattern paper that I cut down to size. I also fussy cut some of the flowers from the Lemon Lush pattern paper, and embellished the top left and bottom right corners of the photo. I love the black and white flowers on this paper...it's perfect for fussy cutting!
I added some puffy gold hearts and a few enamel dots to add detail to my layout. To finish off my project, I adhered paper strips to the bottom of my layout, and an embellishment cluster to the top left of my layout to balance everything out.
I really love the way this layout turned out, and I hope you do too!
For my next project, I decided to scrap a school photo of my oldest daughter from a few years back...I've got some catching up to do!
Again, I was inspired by the soft rainbow colors in this collection, and I backed a star wreath cut file with the same papers I used above.
I added some ink splatters with the matching colors of the stars on a piece of white cardstock. Once dry, I attached the cut file with foam squares to add a little dimension. I also added some enamel dots in the coordinating colors.
I attached my photo to a piece of Fresh Air pattern paper. I also embellished the photo with more of the fussy cut flowers, the "bright" puffy sticker sentiment, a gold puffy heart, a frame from the ephemera pack, and a chipboard sticker sentiment.
I finished off my layout by mounting it on to a piece of Fresh Air pattern paper, and adding some machine stitching around the edges.
I love how my layout turned out, and I hope I've inspired you to get crafty with some Simple & Sweet products!
Thanks for stopping by, and have a happy day!
