Real Life Layouts with Lorilei
Hello Pinkfresh Studio friends! Lorilei with you today, sharing two layouts I made using the fabulous A Case of the Blahs collection! I have to tell you that I was excited to dive into this collection. I love the sentiments about real life and the the sometimes not so great side of life. The colors are gorgeous and everything flows together so beautifully!
For my first page I wanted to build around the real life word art in the Diecut Ephemera pack. I noticed that the stamp set had the same words in a smaller version, so I used the stamp to create a messy stamped around my photo on the background. I did some light stenciling and black paint splatters as well.
The pajamas all day label was a must have for me. My daughter and I "might" spend a lot of our day to day lives in pajamas! I layered the frame, diecuts and sweet little enamel dots around my photo and in a vertical line above and below my photo.
I had cut a 3" strip of the Oops paper to layer down the vertical line but it covered too much of the background so I fussy cut the houses and used them as embellishments! I popped a few up on foam dots for dimensional interest. I love how the page turned out!
My second page was inspired by the "feeling all the feelings" die cut banner. I knew the story I wanted to tell as soon as I saw the banner. I chose the Oops, Flawsome and Awkward paper and stacked them for my background. I cut the middles out of the two bottom papers then punched hearts from the Oops paper, layered and stiched them down the middle.
Next came layering around my photo. I added some of the fresh color in the Blah paper for a pop of color and coordinating chipboard and die cuts.
I fiddled around with a spot for my title for awhile and finally decided to add it at the top of the page. I LOVE this alpha, the font choice in the black color is perfect!! To break up my title I added the "girls" in the cute alpha from the sticker sheet.
A few final details with enamel dots and the cutest little heart stamp finished off my page!
I hope you enjoyed my "real life" pages! They were a joy to make!
