PROUD OF YOU | JOSEFINE VD HOEVEN
Hello crafty Paperlovers,
Welcome to the Pinkfresh blog today! It's Josefine here sharing a new mixed media scrapbook layout. Finally, I received the beautiful "Happy Heart" collection and got to create a layout with all these beautiful paperpretties. This collection makes me so happy. The colors, embellishments and patterns are really amazing. This collection invites me to capture my memories in a beautiful way. Here is a list of the products I used for this layout; of course I used the Happy Heart collection , for the background I used the pink ink cube set "Fairy dust" also I used the beautiful leave sets, "Curvy Foliage" and the set "Curvey Leaves" The golden frame behind the photo calls "Fancy Oval Frame" and for the title I used the stamp and dies set "Celebrating You"
I grab a piece of water color paper and made my mixed media background by using a cleaning sponge and the ink cube set " Fairy dust"I apply some ink to a piece of plastic and pick up the ink with a wet cleaning sponge and then print several times on the watercolor paper. I dry the ink with the heat tool. I repeat this as many times until my mixed media background is large enough. After that I splatter with the pink ink.
Once I'm done with the mixed media background, it's time to decorate my layout with all these pretty embellishments. First, I started by cutting the square patterned paper. I cut out seven squares and cut them in half. I stitch the sides with pink sewing thread and place them in a pattern on my mixed media background.
I choose a black and white photo to show off the colors of the designer paper in the background. I punched the Fancy Oval frame from gold cardstock and place it behind the photo. I love gold accents on my layout. It gives a very delicate look.
I select several flowers from the "Happy Heart" floral ephemera pack and cut out several curvey leaves from white cardstock and green pattern paper. I make a cluster on both sides of the photo.
I decorate my layout with cardstock stickers, enamel dots, wood veneer accents and the pink jewels mix and pink threat. All of these beautiful products matched so wonderfully with each other. I can't get enough of designing with these products.
I hope I was able to inspire you with this mixed media layout and give you some fun creative ideas. Of course, I hope to see you next time on the Pinkfresh blog with a new project. I wish you a lovely and crafty day friends! XoXo, Jo
