Oh What Fun! Christmas Magic | Jung A
Hello friends! It's Jung here, and today I'm sharing my first holiday layout of the year using Pinkfresh Studio's new holiday collection Oh What Fun!
I like to scrapbook our Christmas cards from each year, so this is me documenting last year's card.
I decided that I wanted to make a wreath using all the little Christmas bits and pieces from the collection. I started by spattering some color in a circular pattern on white cardstock. I used the Pinkfresh Studio watercolor in Emerald City and Candy Apple. I watered down the watercolors for a more subtle look. Next, I used light pink thread to add machine stitching in wonky circles.
I added the Christmas card to the layout, a little to the bottom right of the layout. Next, I began creating the wreath with lots of embellishments puzzle pieced together. I glued some pieces straight to the cardsatock, while adding others with foam tape for some dimension and interest.
I used pieces from the ephemera pack, puffy stickers, chipboard stickers, enamel dots, and I fussy cut some pieces from the 6x6 paper pad, as well as the Season of Joy pattern paper.
For my title, I used a puffy sticker that says Christmas Magic, which is the perfect sentiment for my layout.
To add another layer of detail, and to fill in some of the smaller spots, I used the Home for the Holiday stamp set to stamp tiny snowflakes. I used the Starry Night ink cube set.
To finish off my layout, I trimmed a little bit of the white cardstock from all four sides, roughened up the edges, and then mounted it on the Holiday Walk pattern paper. I added machine stitching along the edges.
I loved pieces all of these embellishments together, and the Season of Joy pattern paper was made for fussy cutting! I am so glad to have last year's card documented, and I hope you were inspired by my layout.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a great day!
