Hello everyone! It's Susi here today sharing a new 12x12 scrapbook layout using the beautiful Days of Splendor collection along the Floral Bunch cut file which you can find HERE in the shop.
I wanted to create a monochromatic page so my starting point was the photo of my daughter Sara and her friend in front of the blue house so I decided to work in blue tones.
To create this page i started from white cardstock creating a soft mixed media background using some of the Pinkfresh Studio inks cubes.
I used Sky Blue, Slumber and Blue Jay colors. I added some touches of green and grey using Fresh Pear and Misty Coast inks cubes.
Finally I added some splatters using white acrylic paint from my stash mixed with water.
Next, I cut the Floral Bunch cut file using my silhouette portrait from white cardstock. I cut it out three times (actually six times since I used the cut file in two areas of the page) and glued them together to create dimension.
After that, I backed them with vellum to reveal the mixed media background.
To layer my photo I used one of the Stitched Elements along with Simply Magical and Like a Dream patterned papers. I torn the paper with my hand. I love that effect and getting a crazy touch.
I embellished my photo using pieces from Ephemera pack and Puffy Sticker. I also used a frame from My Favorite Story collection.
With the amazing Mini Alphabet I created the title and I finished with some jewels from the Jewels Mix along with some die cuts and enamels dots from the collection.
I'm really loving how this layout turned out. I hope it brings you some inspiration.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
