Hello Pinkfresh Studio friends! It's Susi here today and I'm excited to share with you my very first scrapbook project using the gorgeous and beautiful Happy Heart collection. I'm totally in love with it and you will be! It is full of butterflies, beautiful florals, pastel colors, touches of gold...It's a dream!

I wanted to create something special with it so I made a mini album for my daugther Sara. She has been in Italy for five days with her schoolmates so in this mini she will keep his memories. She also loves this special collection!

Let's start!

When I saw the little embroidery frames from the collection I knew I was going to use this embellishment to make the cover of the mini album. If we turn it into a shaker , the result is great! I love how it has turned out!

STRUCTURE

For the structure you need 3 pieces of cardboard. Two of 7 x 7 inches and one of 2 " w x 7 " h for the spine. You can use your favorite papers from the collection to cover the pieces. I chose the B-side of Favorite Place Paper ( cover and half back cover) and B-side of Happy Days paper for the spine.

The inner paper I used is the B-side  of Fresh Flowers paper.

SHAKER: For the cover the protagonist is the embroidery frame. Use the same paper of the spine to make the background. Cut a circle using the frame as a template and stick it on the back of the frame.

You'll need a piece of acetate to create the shaker. I added the Essentials: Jewels Mix in pink, blue and green and some sequins from my stash.

To decorate it I used a piece of Floral Ephemera pack and the word You from Ephemera Pack Titles (inside the frame) . I completed the decoration  with Butterflies from Ephemera Pack and the word Lovely.

To join the pages to the structure you will prepare a traditional 6 hinges spine for the mini album. Cut a piece of white cardstock of 11 1/2" w x 6" h. Score in 1 1/2", 2",2 1/2", 2 3/4", 3 1/4", 3 3/4", 4", 4 1/2", 5", 5 1/4", 5 3/4", 6 1/4", 6 1/2", 7", 7 1/2", 7 3/4", 8 1/4", 8 3/4", 9", 9 1/2", 10".

Assemble the spine and glue it to the structure.

You can cut strips of paper ( 1/4" w x 6" h) and sew them to the spine.

 PAGES

To make the inner pages you need 5 ( because one page is an envelope) pieces  of white cardstock of 12" w x 6" h folded in half .

Next,  make pockets, envelopes, and all you want to create your pages.

In this page I made a simple pocket sewing around the base. I added 2 tags from  the Journaling Bits and other from the Ephemera Pack. 

For this page I created an interactive page with flaps and  I added a cover of acetate. I used  the beautiful Puffy Alpha Stickers with the word Happy.

I combined the Happy Heart paper with the Essentials Stiched Scallop: Circle Die Set. I love circles with florals!

The next page is similar to the first. A simple pocket with a tag.

This is my favorite page. I used the gorgeous Celebrate You paper to make it. I cut the 2" x 2" cards and stitched around them. You can open the little windows and glue a photo or write journaling.

To create this envelope I used the Mini Slimline Envelope Die Set.

Another page with a flap and the beautiful envelope using the Floral Envelope Die. I love it!

This paper is soooo beautiful! I created this interactive page with the New Beginning paper. I cut 3 sides of the square to create a window.

And the last page is a pop-up.

When you open it you find a little bag to save tickets.

Finally, I added an envelope on the back cover.
