Merry & Bright Mini Album | Celes Gonzalo
Hello! How are you today? The new year is coming ;) but we can still make a very special mini album for all our memories. Today I will share with you my last idea of the 2022. And... we are going to use the beautiful Happy Holidays collection !
This time I wanted to create a mini album in which we could save all our memories easily and quickly. The Mini Slimline Envelope Die Set was ideal for this project. So, I decided to base my design on it.
Structure:
To make this mini album you will need 3 pieces of cardboard: a- 2 of 4" w x 6 3/4" h and b- 1 of 1 3/4" w x 6 3/4" h
We have to cover the 3 pieces with a design paper from the Happy Holidays Collection 12 x 12 Paper Pack. Yes! I just use one paper for all the structure ;)
Cover:
For our cover we will prepare a beautiful layered composition. To make it I used the Merry & Bright Set (Merry & Bright Die, Merry & Bright Hot Foil Plate ) with my Glimmer Hot Foil System and some pieces from the Ephemera pack.
First thing to do is to prepare the lovely phrase using the word Joy using the Merry & Bright Hot Foil Plate with the Glimmer Hot Foil System and Glimmer Hot Foil Roll: Aura. When we have the phrase ready we need to cut it using Merry & Bright Die. Add 2 or 3 extra layers of papers to the phrase (cut them using the same die).
We put together the cover by adding some pieces from the Ephemera pack. Use 3d foam to generate different layers and gold embroidery thread. Paste them giving the impression that they hang from the cover. Doesn't it look lovely?
I also did the same detail on the spine of the mini album. Also, I added the date on the back cover using a piece from the Ephemera pack and one from the Cardstock Stickers pack.
Spine:
Cut 3 pieces of white cardstock: a- 1 of 1 1/4" w x 5 1/2" h (score at 1/2" and 3/4" wide), b- 1 of 1 3/4" w x 5 1/2" h (score at 1/2" and 1 1/4" wide) , c- 1 of 2 1/4" w x 5 1/2" h (score at 1/2" and 1 3/4" wide) .You will get 3 pieces to form a "U" shaped spine. Use one of the dies from the Essentials: Simple Edgers Die Set to cut the edges (height of each piece). Glue them one inside the other to form the spine. Note: Remember to add the closing ribbon and the interior paper before gluing the finished spine.
Interior:
For the interior I prepared 6 envelopes using Mini Slimline Envelope Die Set and the Happy Holidays Collection 12 x 12 Paper Pack.
To decorate them I used the Tag Ephemera, the Ephemera pack, the Cardstock Stickers, the Chipboard Frames and the Enamel Dots.
The special details are: I left the spine exposed on all the envelopes, I put the closure forward (with embroidery thread details and die cuts), and I used the back of each envelope for the chipboard frames.
It is a mini album with a lot of space for photos and memories :) You can see the process and de interior on Pinkfresh Studio IG profile.
I hope you liked it! Thanks for stopping by!
See you next year! :)
