Masculine Layout Inspiration | Kathleen Graumüller
Hey friends, it's Kathleen here again and today I have two layouts for you that feature a more "neutral" or "masculine" colour scheme (although they are not necessarily about a guy).
For the first one I mainly used the super fun A Case of the Blahs collection and mixed in a tassel bow and the grey puffy alpha stickers from The Mix No. 2. I love how The Mix No. 2 just works so perfectly with all the Pinkfresh Studio collections!
This layout is actually a rather special one (at least for me ;) ) because I used a patterned paper (this one) as my background! I know this is nothing ground-breaking (and yes, the patterned paper is quite neutral) but for me this is only the 5th or 6th time that I've used a patterned paper as my background in my whole history of scrapbooking!*
*PS: If you want to read some more about how/why I started scrapbooking and more, hop on over to this post - because this month I am the spotlighted Designer on the Pinkfresh Studio website :)
I kept the whole page rather simple because this one was more about the "story" than the photo. When I came across the "real life" word die cuts in the A Case of the Blahs ephemera pack, I was inspired to create a page to remind myself that real life doesn't consist of only "best days ever" and that I don't have to do everything, all the time, at the same time, but rather: one day at a time.
To echo the look of the chipboard frame that I used behind my photo, I decided to use a second one to "frame" my journaling. I used the smaller version of the Chaos paper from the 6"x6" paper pad to type my journaling onto it and put it behind the chipboard frame.
(And yes, I am aware that I forget a "day" right in the first sentence - but I guess this fits the whole theme of imperfections, mistakes and flaws rather well, doesn't it? ;) )
I also added some of the puffy stickers and cardstock stickers to my frame clusters and sprinkled some of the enamel dots around the page. And of course, I had to finish it off with some paint splatters.
I am quite happy with how this one turned out, and now I am already on the look out for the next patterned paper I want to use as a background - I really liked it :)
Now for my next layout I used a mix of Pinkfresh Studio products, mostly from the Let Your Heart Decide and The Mix No. 2 collections.
I wanted to keep the colour scheme a bit more "neutral" or "masculine", so I combined two papers from the LYHD and the ACOTB collections (this one and this one) and then added a few embellishments that would repeat the colours around my page (mostly from the LYHD collection).
For my title I mixed the light blue puffy alpha stickers from The Mix No. 2 with the gorgeous leatherette alpha stickers from last year's Escape the Ordinary collection. They worked perfectly for this layout! Not only because of the black and white, but also because they repeat the leatherette look of the heart cluster sticker to the left of my photo :)
I didn't have much to journal about, so the "You Are Here" sticker from the Mix No. 2 cardstock sticker sheet provided the perfect amount of space for that. And again, of course, some paint splatters and a little bit of stamping, and this page was done.
I hope you enjoyed these layouts and feel inspired to maybe mix and match your Pinkfresh Studio collections, too.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day :)
