Home for the Holidays Scrapbooking Layouts | Jana Maiwald-McCarthy
Hi everyone, Jana back again with you and i have two new Layouts to show.
I am so excited to share them with you, i used the new "Home for the Holidays" Collection and some of the new Ink Cubes.
Christmas Wishes
The picture shows my middle one in a very cute little santa dress, perfect for this Collection. I started with fussy cutting some trees, presents and other little bits and pieces from patterned papers.
I grabbed two Ink Pads for my background, i stamped Misty Coast and Rocky Slope (from the Urban Raincoat Set) on a piece of plastic, added some water and smudged the colors on the white cardstock. I only wanted to add a hint of color behind the bright colors.
I used a lot of foam tape for dimension here, there is also some white thread behind some of the elements. I really love how the yellow enamel dots are looking next to the red and greens.
Merry Christmas
My second Layout shows me, back in 2004... time is running!
Christmas in Leeds, UK... the only year we visited our english family over there. We had the best of time... but let´s talk about my page. I started with a few of the Ink Cubes for my background. I grabbed Sky Blue & Summer Shower (Morning Sky Pack) and Mint from the Garden Stroll Pack.
I stamped the Ink on a piece of plastic and mixed it with a touch of water. Then simply smudged it onto the paper, i love the soft messy look mixed with tones of splatters. I created a little scene with the houses, car and the tree.
But my main focus point is the big cluster from ephemera pieces and some white cuts (Holiday CutFile from Pinkfresh Studio will be available soon) mixed with thread and enamel dots. I really love how this looks!
I really enjoyed working with this awesome Collection and i can´t wait to get some new christmas pictures for future projects.
Thanks for stopping by today
Jana
