Gorgeous You | Happy Hearts | Josefine vd Hoeven
Hello Paperlovers, Welcome to the Pinkfresh blog today. It's Josefine here sharing a new mixed media scrapbook layout with you. I used the beautiful Pinkfresh collection “Happy Heart” in combination with a mixed media background. Really love this colorful and sweet collection. Here is the list of the products I used for this layout; for the background I used this beautiful stencil Diamond motif stencil, the colors I have chosen are Cube pack “over the hills” color I used is Olive, Cube pack “Indian summer” color apricot, and Cube pack “Fairy Dust” color sparkling rose, For the title I used the perfect alpha set Adore alpha metal dies set, just love this fabulous font. I made the fancy square frames with the Essentials Folk edge square die set, and added a few extra leaves with the Curvy Foliage die. Of course I wanted to use some fantastic washi tape and I chose the In the meadow washi tape and the In the meadow die. For a little extra accent, I added the Artistic bows die set for a cute pink bow on my page. I love how everything comes together so beautifully. The amazing dies, washi and scrapbook collections fit perfectly with each other.
I started with the mixed media background. I want the two colors "Olive" and "Apricot" to blend together on the background. I used my blending tools one with the diamond stencil. Gently I blend the colors together.
Then I spray water on the leftover ink left on the stencil and make several prints with the stencil on my background. This is how I create a water color look. And When my background is dry I add a few more ink splatters.
I choose several patterned papers from the "Happy Heart" collection and punch out some fancy squares. I placed these behind the black and white photo of my daughter.
I am using the Adora alpha die set for the title of this layout. I color the alphas with the ink "Sparkling Rose" I used 3d tape to add the alphas to my layout. So that they stand out nicely on my mixed media background.
I fussy cut several butterflies from the beautiful patterned paper and placed the butterflies under the photo in a bow. This gives it a little bit of an elegant look. On the left side of the photo I make a cluster of the beautiful washi tape flowers, the curvy leaves and a few die-cuts.
I finish my title with the word "You" and a little pink sweet bow. Right above the photo I make another little cluster of the washi tape meadow flower. My layout is now almost done. I mix some white gesso with some water and make white splatters on my layout with a watercolor pencil.
I want to thank you for stopping by at Pinkfresh Studio's scrapbook blog today and I hope you got some great ideas with this awesome collection. Can't wait to see your beautiful projects with this "Happy Heart" collection! I wish you a lovely and creative day and until next time!
