get inspired | october challenge
Hello crafty friends,
Eri is here with you today with a new challenge for this month. One finds inspiration everywhere. Whether through social media or just right in front of you. These two layouts were both inspired by pieces in the new Indigo Hills collection.
The first thing that fell into my hands was this die cut and I loved it right away.
I cut some diamond shapes from different patterned papers and together with other die cuts and my title I arranged them on the left side and stitched them down.
I placed my photo right next to these. A puffy sticker points to my journaling.
A couple of ink splatters and my first layout – inspired by a shape - was done.
For my second layout I wanted to go with a cool look, so I tried to come up with a suitable background. I drew inspiration from the squares stamp included in the So Sweet stamp set designed by penknives.
First I stamped on my card stock a couple of times then I cut out some of the squares from the cover page of the 6x6 pad and used pop dots to give these some dimension.
In the same stamp set you can also find some splatters and the Oh So Sweet stamp, which I both used on my layout. To finish it off, I just added my title and journaling.
So here is my challenge for you! Get inspired by something in your stash! This could be a shape, a stamp, an embellishment, a color, anything that strikes your fancy.
