Felicidad Layout with The simple Things collection | Susi Becerra
Hello everyone! It's Susi here again, back on the Pinkfresh Studio blog with a brand new project. Today, I've created a 12 x 12 scrapbook page using The simple Things collection in spanish version .I wanted to dedicate this layout to the four wonderful years I've spent on the Pinkfresh Studio Design Team, and I've used this beautiful collection to bring my project to life.
Now, let's get into the step-by-step process of creating this layout.
1. Choose the patterned papers: First, pick three patterned papers from The Simple Things collection. I chose papers in shades of orange and soft lilac.
2. Cut the strips:Next, cut three strips from the selected papers, each measuring 12 inches in length and 2 inches in width.
3. Score and fold the papers: Now, we'll score and fold each of these strips as follows:
-For the first strip, score at every quarter inch.
-For the second strip, score at every half inch.
-For the third strip, score at every inch.
4. Accordion fold: After scoring, fold each strip in an accordion style.
5.Assemble the layout: Once you have scored and folded all the strips, place them onto the background of your layout base. I used double side tape to secure the strips on the cardstock. Note that you may need to trim some of the accordion folds to ensure they all have the same length. By stretching them more or less, you can achieve uniform length.
6. Decoration: Now comes the fun part of any scrapbooking project - the decoration- . For this layout, I followed the tone-on- tone technique. From the multitude of embellisments in the collection, I selected those that best matched the colors of my layout. Begin placing embellisments or decorations onto the layout, over the accordion folds. I used Puffy Stickers, the gorgeous Layered Stickers, Vellum Ephemera, Ephemera pack, phrases from Chipboard frames...
7. Title and photo:For the title I chose one word from the Puffy Title Stickers. I also used the Mini Puffy Alphas to create the subtitle. Finally I added the photo on the first paper strip.
I hope you enjoyed this project and that you have fun creating your own version. Thanks for stopping by and Happy crafting! See you next time!
