Everyday Musings Layouts With Enza

Everyday Musings Layouts With Enza

11 Feb 2019 0 Comments

Hello, crafty friends. Enza back with you to share two layouts using the new, gorgeous Everyday Musings collection. I adore its soft, delicate colors; and the pretty embellishments are just so fun and versatile, perfect for any theme.

For the first layout, I chose the “Sweet” patterned paper as my background. The beautiful mixed media on this page is what appealed to me – I can't stop looking at it! I created several layers using a variety of die cuts and puffy stickers.

I started by matting my photo with one of the Pocket Cards that come in the collection, and went on adding more patterned paper, alternating each layer with foam adhesive for more dimension. I placed the photo cluster towards the left side of the page, and kept embellishing around it.

Once that was ready, I arranged several other ephemera pieces to the right side. I used one of the Journaling Pockets to hold my title, which came in the Ephemera Pack as well. The gold foiled acetate pocket cards are a favorite of mine – you can see two of them here in between the layers. They add so much to the design without being overwhelming.

To finish the layout, I trimmed a sentiment strip from the “Present and Perfect” patterned paper and adhered it to the bottom of the page. I also used parts of the Mandala Snowflake cut file, that you can find in the Pinkfresh Studio Facebook Group, to add a little extra something – subtle but still noticeable.

Copper colored paint splatters finished the layout.

The second layout was inspired by the first one, in the sense that I used several strips from the “Present and Perfect” patterned paper to create my background.

I kept the ones with the sentiments that best fit my photo, and matted them with the other side of the same paper. After adhering them down, I machine-stitched in between, just to add a bit of texture.

For the photo, again layers and layers behind it. I love the new Circle Frame with Botanicals Die so much, I had to use it – I simply cut it out of patterned paper and slid the photo inside it before adding the rest. I tried to match the colors of the embellishments to the ones in the picture, and did the same with the Pocket Cards I used to mat it.

To add interest to the page, I stamped a few of the little flowers from the Embroidered Blossoms Stamp Set here and there in coordinating colors. I love the softness they bring to an otherwise very geometric layout ;)

To finish the page, I adhered layered hearts at the end of each strip, matching them to the color of the dots, and added black paint splatters for a bit of contrast.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope I was able to give you some fun ideas for your next scrapbook layout. The Everyday Musings is such a beautiful collection! A must-have!

Until next time.
