Create your own patterned paper | Else Huinink

Hi friends, I’m so happy you join me here today! As you could read in the title I’ve created my own custom patterned paper, with the use of the Diamond tile background stamp.

I stamped this on the gorgeous soft pink paper called ‘My favorite’. The diagonal line on this paper inspired me to recreate this diagonal line on my layout.

I wanted to create a ‘tone on tone’ effect with the background stamp, so I chose the color Passion fruit. Then I tore the paper down to size whilst using a ruler, to give me some control over the tear.

I love the leafy pattern on the paper Grateful heart, so I used this for the bottom of my layout. It also matches the gardening theme of the photo, because my son is holding a watering can.

I pulled out another stampset, called Lovely blossoms and the coordinating dies. I stamped a whole bunch of flowers with the colors Ballet slipper, Coral reef, Soft lilac, Lavender and Candy apple. For the stems I used Olive.

I layered some vellum behind my photo and the 6x6 version of the paper Simply magical. I used a borderpunch out of my stash, so I could add more texture and distressing.

The rest of the embellishing was so fun and easy. You can see a piece from the stitched elements, a few cardstock stickers and floral diecuts, chipboard flair, the cute puffy stickers and of course my stamped florals. I love to use foam tape to create dimension between all those layers.

I used both the puffy alphabets from the collection to create the title. My trick to make the script letters look like real handwriting and to enhance readability, is to (carefully!) cut off some of the ends of the letters where they meet the next letter. It’s a fiddly job, but I like the result!

Thank you for stopping by. I hope I was able to inspire you and show you how easy it is to make the beautiful products from Pinkfresh Studio even more your own! Have a wonderful day!
