A Simple & Sweet Layout and Traveler's Notebook Page | Elsie Robinson
Hey friends, it's Elsie back again with some more inspiration using the Simple & Sweet collection.
First up, let's talk about the 12x12 scrapbook layout I made...
This layout was actually inspired by the couple of postage stamp chipboard embellishments in the collection. I thought it would be fun to create a very whimsical layout based around this postage theme! I started by backing this postcard cut file as well as this paper airplane one with some pale mint and pink patterned papers.
I then stitched around the cut files and the clouds to add more definition and whimsy. I clustered my photo and the paper airplanes around the postcard, and added the cute chipboard postage stamp to the postcard.
To embellish I fussy-cut some of the floral images from the Sweet Life paper. I also used some puffy stickers to add some smaller pops of colour and whimsy!
Next, is my traveler's notebook layout:
For this layout I wanted to use a photo that is very special to me but is such terrible quality! So I knew I wanted to create a pocket to slightly hide my photo, and since this collection is so bright and summery, I was reminded of the song 'pocket full of sunshine', and came up with this design!
To start with I tore a strip of the Good Company paper, and curled over the edges to give the look of a pocket. I created the 'sunshine' in my pocket with a fussy-cut lemon from the Good Things paper, and I also cut the some sun rays of some white cardstock and backed it with some paper that I inked up with a lemon-coloured ink.
I cut my photo into a tag shape and adhered some paper with my journalling onto the back of the photo. I wanted to make the pocket feel like it was bursting full of sunshine-y goodness, so I filled my pocket with yellow embellishments from the collection, including the chipboard, puffy and epoxy stickers.
I also added some of the super shiny gold foil puffy stickers, and then used the white letter stickers to spell out my title!
Thanks for stopping by today everyone, I hope you're inspired to create with this gorgeous collection! Elsie x
