A LITTLE COMFORT | Céline Erbetta
The Some Days collection tells us about everyday life, the real one, the one that is not always easy in these times of health crisis: the phrase "today was a struggle" inspired me to create a little cookie jar, to keep on hand, in which I'll dive after a hard day to find a little comfort 😉
I start with the lid: for pizzazz and because I love this lemon print, I choose the Make Lemonade sheet. I cut a 6X6 inch square. On my marking board, I draw a line at ½, 1 ½, 4 ½ and 5 ½. I repeat this marking on the second side. I cut my window using a die from the Shaker Tags set. I cut off the excess pieces of paper. I get this:
I fold and glue the edges of my lid. Inside, I place a piece of rhodoid so that you can see the little cookies through...
For the bottom part of the box, I cut a piece of plain cardstock 8 inches square. I draw a line at 2 ½ and 5 ½ inches. I cut and raise the sides then glue them down. I don't remove any pieces of the cardstock, the paper lined on the sides will strengthen the box. I play around with gluing the sides so the lid will fit properly on the bottom of the box.
I then move on to the deco: I use the Leafy Branch die. I keep the inside of the leaves so that it is more visible. A nice slice of lemon in the ephemera bag, a puffy sticker and a piece of string bring volume and color to my little box !
I put some delicious shortbread in it ... here, if I ate one now! 😉
Beautiful day to all !

What a sweet gift idea and great way to treat yourself, too!
I LOVE your adorable treat box. I’m really happy to hear that you are eating the treats yourself. We all need to find ways to be kind to ourselves. Thank you so much for sharing it.
