A Gnome becomes Santa at Christmas | Vicki Parker
Hello friends, it's Vicki here today with a new layout using the Oh What Fun collection available now at your favourite retailer. I love the super cute gnome cutfile in the shop and I wanted to make him into a Santa for my Christmas layout.
I started with the reverse side of the 'Holiday Walk' paper and cut a wavy strip of white cardstock to resemble snow at the bottom of the page for Santa to stand on.
Using the Candy Apple watercolour paint, I painted some watercolour cardstock to use for backing Santa's hat and coat. I did the same with Licorice paint for his boots and a mix of Bubble Gum and Clementine paints well watered down for his face. I kept the cut out piece for his beard and re-used that. I raised him up on foam pads for extra dimension.
I cut out lots of gifts from the Christmas Gifts paper and created a pile of them on both sides of Santa with foam pads, tucking my photo in on one side.
I finished off with some puffy stickers, die cuts, enamel dots and puffy words all from the Oh What Fun collection.
I hope it gives you some inspiration - it's such a wonderful kit for scrapping your holiday memories. See you next time! Vicki x
