Hello and happy Friday, Pinkfresh friends! It’s TaeEun here today sharing a floral card with a bold background! I made a background panel using alcohol ink to which I added some golden accents, and arranged the floral cluster from the Wonderful in Every Way set in very light colors on it.

I started by making the alcohol ink background panel. For an easier blending I first sprayed lots of rubbing alcohol on an alcohol ink cardstock and added droplets of red, pink and yellow alcohol inks. I moved the ink using an air blower. I repeated the process until I was happy with the result and got a fiery background. As I used lots of alcohol ink, there were some areas with concentrated ink which remain sticky even after a few hours. I placed a gold hot foil on the panel and pressed it with a brayer so that the gold foil could be transferred onto the sticky areas.

To add a golden frame for my flowers I hot foiled the panel with two plates from the Nested Rectangles Hot Foil set in gold. I then cut the inner rectangle using a die from the Nested Rectangles die set. I adhered the outer frame on a white cardbase and foam mounted the central rectangle onto it’s place. 

Next I worked on the Wonderful in Every Way image. I gold heat embossed it on a Neenah solar white panel and stenciled it using the coordinating stencil set in very soft colors. For the flowers I used Ballet Slipper, Soft Lilac and Peach Fuzz and for the leaves Misty Coast and Rocky Slope. After the stenciling was done I cut the image using the coordinating die and added it to the card using some foam tape. 

The sentiment from the Wonderful Sentiments set was hot foiled in gold and cut with the coordinating die. To finish I attached a Matte Gold Pearl on the center of the large flower and scattered a few Clear Iridescent Drops on the floral image.
