Watercolored Holiday Card | TaeEun Yoo
Hello everyone ! It's TaeEun here today :) ! I hope you’re all having a fantastic week so far! For today’s post I’m sharing a simple yet elegant watercolored holiday card featuring the Deck The Halls suite along with the Blanket Stitched Brackets and the Fancy Edger dies from the new Essentials collection.

To start, I stamped the images from the Deck The Halls set in Detail Black on watercolor paper. I then watercolored the images in bright, traditional festive colors. Once I finished watercoloring, I used the coordinating die to cut out all the images and set them aside.

To create the background, I prepared three watercolor paper panels.
- The A2 sized base layer was cut with the Dotted Chevron die and the Nested Rectangles: Diagonal Stitch die.
- A smaller panel was painted with Citron and Lush Forest watercolor (the Pinkfresh Studio watercolors will be released soon) and cut with the Dotted Chevron die. I trimmed this panel with the small die from the Blanket Stitched Brackets set and cut the right side using the Nested Rectangles: Diagonal Stitch die.
- The final panel was watercolored in the area where I planned to place the branch images. Once dry, I cut it using the Dotted Chevron coverplate die and the large die from the Blanket Stitched Brackets set.
To add a decorative touch, I used a die from the Fancy Edger set to cut two long strips of watercolor paper and added them to the edges of the bracket panel as shown in the picture.

For assembly I adhered the base layer flat to a white cardbase and added the second panel to the right side of the card using thin foam tape. The final panel, with its decorative edges, was foam-mounted for added dimension. I then arranged and adhered the watercolored festive branch images on this layer.
For the sentiment, I stamped a greeting from the Deck the Halls stamp set in Detail Black, cut it with the coordinating die, and added it to the card. To complete the card, I embellished the sentiment with two small watercolored images and scattered a few Aqua Glitter Drops for a touch of sparkle.

Thank you so much for stopping by to check out my card today! I hope it inspires your next holiday project :) !
