Hi Everyone, it's Jenny here, and today I'm going to show you how I created two different cards using the absolutely stunning Anemone Magic Washi and coordinating die and stamp set. The colors in this Washi are absolutely beautiful together, and there are touches of gold foil accents throughout which are stunning in real life.  

To start, I adhered a strip of the Anemone Magic washi on a panel of thick white  cardstock and then die cut it out with the coordinating Anemone Magic die.  This simply overlays the Washi and cuts all the pieces out in one go. I wanted a few more of the smaller pieces so I repeated this again ahead of making my cards. I was left with spares that I kept for future cards! 

For my first card, I decided to try and mimic the colors of the washi with a layering stencil and Pinkfresh Studio inks.   I used the Hanging Garden stencil set which is five layers.  I matched the colors in the washi by holding it up against my inks and visually guessing! The colors I used to ink blend the Hanging Garden stencil are Olive, Storm, Candy Violet, Soft Lilac and Fresh Pear.  I stamped the beautiful sentiment from the Anemone Magic stamp set in Detail Black ink and then trimmed out the stenciled image to 4.25 x 5.5" (just a little smaller).

I adhered the smaller florals die cut from the washi directly over the top of the Hanging Garden blended image and then trimmed off any excess. By mimicking the colors with the ink blending, the accented florals integrate well. 

For my second card, I created a shaker card.  I used the main floral from the Anemone Magic stamp set and stamped it several times on a panel of white cardstock in Detail Black ink to create a background panel.  

My shaker is created with the smaller frame from the Essentials: Stitched Scallop Rectangles dies which I die cut from thick white cardstock. You can actually pull apart the scalloping to create two straight-edged frames! I did just that, and adhered acetate to the back and a double layer of foam tape. I added a pile of Essentials: Jewels to the middle of my stamped panel, and then overlaid my shaker window - this method helps to perfectly align the shaker panel in the center of the card.

I adhered some of the smaller Washi die cuts to the corners of the shaker panel with foam squares for dimension, and then added a simple die cut sentiment - this is the Beautiful Word die, and coordinates perfectly in gold mirror cardstock don't you think - perfect to match those Washi gold accents.

I adore this new Washi tape - I can't wait to show you projects using the other rolls.  Amazing for not only creating quick cards, but helping get your crafty mojo going!
