Slimline Celebration Card | Dilay Nacar
Hello, Pinkfresh Studio friends! Dee here, and I’m back today to share this slimline celebration card with you! I found yet another way to stretch my supplies by using the scalloped frames to create diagonal stripes as a backdrop for the hot foiled butterflies! Let’s get started!
To begin, I cut die cut the inner frame with Slim Stitched Scallop Rectangle die in white, and again in a selection of fun and vibrant colors then trimmed the colored die cuts into strips (keeping the scraps for a future project!) I added double-sided adhesive to all four sides of the white frame, then arranged the colored scalloped strips in a rotating direction, in rainbow order. Once complete, I added another strip of tape to secure any loose ends before trimming off the excess.
Next, I die cut the larger of the two Slim Stitched Scallop Rectangle dies and then adhered it onto a piece of white cardstock cut down to size. To finish the base, I adhered the striped portion onto the center of the panel. For the butterflies and sentiment, I fired up my hot foil machine and foiled the Small Butterflies hot foil and Celebrate hot foil in gold (on white cardstock) then die cut them out with their coordinating dies, adding them to the panel with foam adhesive squares.
Finally, to complete the card, I added Metallic Gold Pearls then mounted the card onto a side-folding, slimline card base.
I hope that you enjoyed learning about this card as much as I enjoyed making it. The best part about these dies is that not only can you use them in different ways to create something brand new (anyone who knows me knows I love using things in unconventional ways!), but you get to stretch your supplies, and who doesn’t love that?! Thanks so much for stopping by, friends!
♡ Dee
