Pastel Folk Garden | Dilay Nacar
Welcome back, friends!
Dee here and I’m super excited to share this foiled thank you card that I created with the new Folk Garden and Thank You So Much hot foil plates and dies! These new products make it fun and easy to use foil plates, so even if you’re new to them, this is the perfect time to give it a try!
To begin, I cut a piece of white cardstock to slightly bigger than an A2 size, then cut a piece of Aura gold foil slightly smaller than the cardstock (but still large enough to cover the A2 plate). I placed the Folk Garden hot foil plate, foil, and cardstock on the dock and followed the prompts until my hot foil machine was ready to go. Once hot, I ran it through a die cutter (only for the pressure, not to cut) and voila, I had a beautiful foiled piece!
Next, I added some color with the coordinating Folk Garden stencils! Instead of using different colors for each of the four stencils, I used the same three colors - Lemon Whip, Ballet Slipper, Soft Lilac (in the same order) adding more color with each stencil. Once the coloring was complete, I aligned the coordinating die and cut the image. I die cut another piece of white cardstock with the larger of the Diagonal Stitched Rectangle dies and added a bit of of the same ink colors around the edges, then adhered the image to it with foam tape.
For the sentiment, I followed the same foiling steps for the Thank You So Much hot foil plate, then die cut it with the coordinating die. Since I wanted the florals to be more visible, I carefully removed the So Much, leaving just the Thank You. I die cut a piece of gold toned vellum with the largest of Curvey Leaves die to adhere behind the foiled sentiment before placing it on the card with foam squares. To finish, I added a few jewels in matching colors and glued the card to an A2-sized top-folding card base.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Be sure to check out the rest of the new release if you haven’t already done so! There’s also a super fun giveaway, you can find all of the details over on the Pinkfresh Studio Instagram page!
Have a great week, everyone!
