Hi Everyone! It's Jenny here, and today I'm going to show you two non-standard sized cards I created by combining the fabulous floral washi tape with some of the recently released Essentials dies.

When I'm using the Pinkfresh washi tape, I always like to create and die cut my images first.  I'm using the Painted Peony Mix and Joyful Bouquet washi tapes and the coordinating dies. I adhere the washi onto white cardstock and then overlay each die to die cut out the pieces. I wasn't sure how many I was going to use so I always do a full set each time.

For my first card, I die cut the larger square from the Essentials: Stitched Scallop die set from a pale peach cardstock. I added acetate behind the window and then a double layer  of foam tape around the edge, without leaving any gaps. I created a white square folded note card just larger than the frame (8.5" x. 4.25" scored at 4.25") and added a large sprinkle of clear sequins in the centre then overlaid the peach frame to create a shaker. 

To frame up the bouquet (from the Joyful Bouquet washi) I die cut a double layer of the largest Essentials: Folk Edge Circle die from gold mirror cardstock and mounted it with small foam squares over the top of my shaker.  I then added the washi bouquet with a double layer of foam squares.  To finish, I added this fun sentiment (from the Painted Peony Mix stamp set) heat embossed on peach cardstock in white.

For my second card, I carried on the theme of a colored cardstock for my main base color. I went for a deep blue,  die cut with the new angled stitches die. from the Mini Slimline Essentials Bundle. I laid the main image from the die cut Painted Peony washi on the centre and temporarily fixed it with low tack tape behind. it. I then took the smaller washi pieces and laid them around the panel,  hanging off the edges in some cases, fixing on the back with low tack tape. I overlaid the angled stitches die again and re-ran it through the die cutter. It trims the washi and leaves that pattern on the pieces so they look fully flush with the card panel.  I peeled them up and remounted with foam squares. I slipped  in a couple of extra pieces under the main bouquet with glue.

I scattered Ballet Slipper jewels around the washi and mounted the whole panel onto a white notecard with foam tape (6 1/4" x 6. 1/4" scored at 3 1/8").  The sentiment is from the Celebrating You hot foil plate, and foiled in Matte Gold glimmer hot foil (by Spellbinders). I then die cut with the coordinating die, and again, glued together and mounted on foam tape to the front of the card. 

You might also notice, I created a coordinating mini-slimline card using some off cuts of the blue cardstock, and some pink that matched the peonies from my stash-using the Essentials: Mini-Slimline Envelope,  which I also stamped with the main image from the Painted Peony Mix stamp set using embossing ink for a tone on tone look.
