No-line Coloring for Winterberry background
Hi everyone! It's Anne here today, I'm up on the blog with a no-line pencil colored card using one of Pinkfresh Studio's new releases, Winterberry Background red rubber stamp.
Who can resist those fun berries everywhere, so many creative choices come to mind when I think about coloring them in. I decided on a pink tone with olive green for the stems and leaves. I used Pinkfresh's Warm Buff to stamp the image onto Fog gray cardstock from Simon Says Stamp, then I picked out my color choices from the pencil box and started coloring.
After my finishing touch ups: a very dark red pencil at the base of the berry and white gel pen at the top, I cut it down to fit on to a couple of complimenting colored card bases. But before I taped it down I used Ballet Slipper, very lightly, along the border of my finished piece.
I was definitely influenced by a project of Heather Hoffman's when I decided to try out the torn vellum look for the sentiment. Then I gave it a fun sentiment from another new stamp set, Sleigh Bells Ring. And topped it with an Artistic Bow, using red and silver to keep it festive. Kelly Lunceford is amazing at these bows by Pinkfresh! I'll be jealous forever.
I hope some of my design choices inspire you to make something new today! Thanks so much for coming by!
