Happy Monday, Pinkfresh friends! Yasmin here sharing with you a fun “Encouragement” inspiration card made with a touch of spinner effect using; Essentials Folk Edge Circle Die Set to create the layered spinner circle. Keeping It Real: 6 x 6 Paper Pack to add the patterned card backgrounds. Then, to keep a cohesive look, I used a combination of Keeping It Real: Chipboard Stickers and Keeping It Real: Floral Ephemera Pack to embellish the card. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it.

Therefore, I started off by die-cutting the detailed and layered circles out of white cardstock. So, to do that I went ahead to line up over two pieces of white cardstock the two larger outer along with both detailed dies including in Essentials Folk Edge Circle Die Set to cut out of the cardstock the large and medium detailed white circles. Next, I repeated the same steps to cut out two more detailed white circles as well, having that way four detailed circles in total.

Thus, right after that I’ve had completed that step, I’ve gone ahead to use one of the patterned paper sheets including in Keeping It Real: 6 x 6 Paper Pack along with the smaller circle die from the set to cut out two circles with the encouragement words.

Having that being said, right after that I’ve had finished die-cutting the detailed circles, I’ve gone ahead to put them off to the side to create the card base for the spinner effect. Thus, to do that, I went ahead to trim off a piece of white cardstock to H 5.0” x W 8-1/2” inches. Next, I traced a scoring line at the mark of 4-1/4” inches and then I went ahead to fold the card if half. Once, that I had the card folded in half, I went ahead to reinforce the fold using a Teflon bone folder and then, I’ve got the back and front embellished using two card panels that I’ve had previously trim down from one of the patterned paper designs from the pack. By the way, each panel measured H 4.0” x W 4-3/4” inches.

Moving on, as soon as I’ve had finished embellished the back and front of the card base, I’ve gone ahead to use a larger circle die from my stash to create the circle opening for the spinner effect. Therefore, as I had the card base folded, I went ahead to line up the circle over the fold and then, I carefully went ahead run the card base along with the die through the die-cutting machine to cut out the window on both sides of the card base at once. This step took me a few passes through the die cut machine as I was cutting four layers at the same time.

As for the spinner effect, as soon as I’ve had finished cutting the circle window, I went ahead to open up the card base to get a piece of extra strong thread in off white color adhered right in the center of inner side of the card base and opening. By the way, I used a combination of narrow double-sided adhesive and liquid glue to get the thread adhered to the card base but not too tight to allow the spinner effect to spin around the cutting circle.

Once, I’ve had finished adhering the thread, I’ve gone ahead to close the card base and then, I’ve got the embellishment for it started. As for the embellishment, I went ahead to get one of the larger white die-cutting circle adhered with double-sided adhesive over the thread (as shown in the image above.) Having that said, after I had that done, I quickly went ahead to get the backing of the other larger die-cutting circle adhered over the it. Then, after making sure that both die-cutting circles were into place, I went ahead to layered over the back and front of them the medium size detailed circles using craft foam adhesive to raise dimension. Lastly, I went ahead to choose which side of the card was going to be the front of it, so I could get the smaller circles with the words layered over the other circles. I took this step because, one of the circles needed to be mounted upside down to be in the right position once I’ve got wind up the thread for the spinning effect.

Finally, after getting wind up the thread, I’ve gone ahead to finish the embellishment for the front and back of the card (as shown in the images above) using a combination of the die cut shapes including in both Keeping It Real: Chipboard Stickers and Keeping It Real: Floral Ephemera Pack. Also, I adhered down here and there some enamel dots from the same collection to add a pop of shine to the card.
