Indigo Roses - Watercolored | TaeEun Yoo
Hello Pinkfresh friends! It’s TaeEun here today sharing a watercolored floral card. I used the Indigo Roses product suite from the October Washi release. The Indigo Roses Washi tape has arrangements of beautiful dark blue roses. I watercolored a bright version of them in purple and blue.
To do watercoloring in no line coloring look I stamped the Indigo Roses images in Peach Fuzz. I watercolored the roses in a mix of cerulean blue and purple. The violet color comes from mixing both colors. I colored the leaves in olive green and cut the images using the coordinating die.
To create the background I started doing watercoloring a mixed media paper panel in the same colors I used for the roses. After the panel was dry, I splattered purple and white ink on the panel and let it dry once again.
The background panel was then cut using the Ornate Circle die and the Folk Edge Rectangles die. I adhered the die cut circle piece on the center of a navy cardbase and foam mounted the die cut panel on it.
I added two rose clusters to the card. The silver hot foiled small butterfly was stenciled in Summer Shower, Soft Lilac and Candy Violet and die cut with the coordinating die.
The sentiment from the Indigo Roses stamp set was heat embossed in silver, die cut with the coordinating die and added to the card. I finished off the card with some Amethyst Glitter Drops.
I truly enjoyed watercoloring the roses! The stamped image helps you as a guide and you get the beautiful watercolored roses easily! I hope you'll give it a try!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
