Hot Foiled Thankful for Friends
Hello and Happy Friday, Pinkfresh friends! Hope you had a wonderful week! It’s TaeEun here today with a floral card full of hot foiled elements! The main image is the gorgeous Thankful for Friends designed by Alex Syberia. Thankful for Friends stamp set was released a while ago and now we have the coordinating layering stencil set and Hot Foil plate! Yay! Two more reasons to love the Thankful for Friends set :) !
To begin I hot foiled the Thankful for Friends on some Bristol smooth paper in gold. Then I stenciled the flowers using the layering stencil set. The base layer of the flowers were stenciled in Clementine and I added a bit of darker shade to the base of the petals with Passion Fruit ink. The second layer of the flowers was stenciled in Candy Apple. The stems and leaves were stenciled in Key Lime and Olive. After that I cut the image using the coordinating die and set it aside.
For the background I watercolored a watercolor paper panel in light pink, yellow and gold, let it dry and cut it with the Diagonal Stitched Plaid die. At that time I decided to make the panel a bit more vibrant. So I added more colors by ink blending the panel in Clementine, Coral Reef and Sunshine.
I mounted the background panel flat on a white cardbase and adhered a white Ornate Oval frame on the center of it. I cut one more Ornate Oval frame and then added it over the first oval frame using foam tape.
Next I placed the Thankful for Friends image in the frame. The cute butterfly from Small Butterflies set was hot foiled in Aurora and stenciled using the Small Butterflies Layering Stencil set in Coral Reef, Clementine and Sunshine.
The sentiment is from Celebrating You set. I hot foiled it in gold and cut with the coordinating die. I thought the new Gold Pearls would be the perfect finishing touch for today’s card!
Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you enjoyed looking my card today!
Have a crafty weekend !
Hugs,
TaeEun
