Happy Fall cards with Erica
Hi guys!
It's Erica back on the Pinkfresh Studio blog today, with a couple of fun and easy cards and the inspiration for these cards is the October Challenge graphic.
I looked through my stash of coloured card stock to get as close as possible to the colours in the challenge graphic. Well, except for black, I picked out a dark grey instead, and one these I used the Essentials Slim Stripes cuts. I absolutely love these diecuts, I used them all the time.
On two card bases I adhered the stripes, on one I used all the colours and horizontally.
On the second card I skipped out on the teal colour, and adhered these diagonally.
To bring in the theme of the challenge, Fall/Fall Holidays, I cut out the word Happy Fall out of black card stock using the Lea's Ornate Uppercase and Heather Lowercase diecuts. I only cut out the word once, and then separated the pieces, so I have the solid and the outline.
I also cut out the Ornate Oval Frame diecut out of gold mirror card stock, and the frame itself ended up on the diagonal striped card. The solid oval was adhered to the horizontal striped card.
The solid Happy Fall ends up on this card, and the outline Happy Fall was adhered to the diagonal card.
Naturally, I had to add some Espresso Jewel to the cards. I love these jewels!
That's it from me for today, and I hope you enjoyed these card and found some inspiration here with me. Now it's your turn to interpret the challenge and upload your projects to the Monthly Challenge. You can win a $50 gift card if you win, so what are you waiting for? Have some fun making a project, and maybe win a gift card to the Pinkfresh Studio shop. That's a win-win in my eyes.
Lots of love and happy crafting from Erica
