Hello Pinkfresh friends! Hope your week is off to a great start! It’s TaeEun here today with a slimline Thank you card featuring Hibiscus Washi and Nested Diamonds items. Instead of using the coordinating layering stencil set I watercolored the gorgeous Hibiscus Washi images myself. As you can see I had a blast doing it :) !

To begin I stamped all the images of the Hibiscus Washi stamp set on watercolor paper in Peach Fuzz and watercolored them. I worked in many layers. When I watercolor flowers I usually cover the image in very light color, let it dry and add darker shades on it by coloring petal by petal. I repeat the process until I'm happy with the result. I then add the fine folds to the petals. After done with coloring I cut the images using the coordinating die and set them aside.

I hot foiled all four diamonds from the Nested Diamonds hot foil plate set in rose gold on a white slimline sized panel as shown in the picture to get the pattern in my background.

I cut the panel with a die from Slim Ornate Banner die set and foam mounted it on a white slimline cardbase after I stamped the sentiment from the Hibiscus Washi stamp set on it in Detail Black.

I arranged several watercolored floral clusters on the center of the card and scattered a few Sparkling Champagne Metallic Pearls.

The current monthly challenge is all about Geometric Shapes! The challenge graphic shows a pretty pastel color palette along with some inspiration projects for you.  I didn’t use the colors provided in the graphic but as I included some diamonds to my card, I wanted to remind you of the challenge!
