Happy Friday, Pinkfresh friends! Yasmin here sharing with you a fun fold birthday inspiration card made with a “Pop-Up-Twist” effect using Celebrate Washi, Celebrate Washi Die, and Celebrate Washi Stamp for the die-cutting balloons and card sentiment. Along with this beautiful set, I used Essentials: Lacey Edgers 1 Die Set to add the decorative lacey edge and Geo Arch Hot Foil to add the metallic hot foil stamping accent. Lastly, I also used Artistic Bows Die Set to add an extra dimensional touch so, without further ado, let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it.

Therefore, I started off by trimming down an 8-1/2 X 11.00 inches white cardstock sheet in half to create two A2 size side folding white card bases. Next, I put one of the cardstock pieces aside while, I proceeded to go ahead and place the other one with the larger side horizontally over my scoring board tool.

Next, as soon as, I had the cardstock piece over the score board tool, I went ahead to use my Teflon bone folder to trace some scoring lines over at 1.0, 1-3/4, 3.0, and 4-1/2 inches point marks. Once, I had that step completed, I proceeded to repeat the same step over the other piece of cardstock and, as soon as, I had that completed, I got the first scoring line folded inwards to create a valley then, the second to create a mountain, and the last one to create another valley leaving the last one free to add the decorative lacey edge.

Thus, as soon as, I had the first cardstock piece folded, I went ahead to repeat the exact steps for the folding to the other cardstock piece. So, once I had the folding steps completed on both cardstock pieces, I went ahead rotate one of them upside down to have the front edges facing in the opposite direction. Therefore, after having them facing in the opposite direction, I continued to add the decorative lacey edge to both ends so, to do that, I went ahead flatten off one of the cardstock pieces and then, I got lined up one of the dies included in Essentials: Lacey Edgers 1 Die Set over the edge of and then, I kept going to run them thru the die cut machine. Next, I repeated the same step for the other cardstock piece but making sure to get the die lining up facing in the opposite direction and trying my best to get it line up in the same position for a continuous decorative look.

Nevertheless, after adding the decorative edges to both front pieces from each cardstock piece, I proceeded to trim off an itty-bitty strip from one of the large side of cardstock pieces to make it slightly smaller than the other one and then, I got the backing of the large flap from that cardstock piece adhered with double-sided adhesive over the other in a way that, you can see in the image above. Also, you can take a side view in the image above for how the folds look and how much dimension they add up to the card base.

Moving on, after getting both pieces for the card base adhered, I went ahead to add up to it a hot foil stamping touch so, to do that, I used Geo Arch Hot Foil along with two large pieces of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Gold and the Glimmer Hot Foil System plus my Platinum ^ die cut machine to add the hot foil stamping steps to two A2 size white panel. That being said, after getting the hot foil stamping completed over both card panels, I went ahead to trim off 1/8 of an inch from each side on one of them for it to be 5-1/2 x 4.0 inches. Then, for the other one, I went ahead to get two smaller pieces trim down from the other hot foil stamped panel for them to be 1.0 x 5-1/2 inches. However, for those smaller pieces, I went ahead to get them trim down from the right side and left side of the card panel leaving the center part of it free to use it in another project. I would like to mention that this step I basically did it by eyeballing where to get them trim down in a way to get a continuous background after getting them adhered to the sides of the inner folds just like, you can see then in the image above.

So, as I mentioned above after getting them smaller side pieces trim down, I proceeded to get the large hot foil stamped panel adhered with double-sided adhesive to the center part of the card base. Next, I went ahead to leave the back side of the next fold plain white and then, I proceeded to get the smaller hot foil stamped pieces adhered to the front part of the first fold on each side of the card.

To continue, right after I got them adhered on each side of the card base, I went ahead to put the card base off aside while, I proceeded to get a small piece of white cardstock trim down to W 2-3/4 X H 3/4 inches. So, after getting the smaller cardstock piece trim down, I went ahead to completely flatten off the card base to get the ends of the smaller cardstock piece gluing down with liquid glue to the lower front part of the card and to both sides of the decorative folds.

As soon as, I had made sure that the glue was completely dry out, I went ahead to let the pop-up effect do its work and, as simple as that, you can see in the image above once again how much dimension this fun fold adds up to the card. And, so on and so forth, after getting the steps for the card base completed, I moved on to get the card embellished using the die-cutting elements created by using Celebrate Washi, Celebrate Washi Die, and Celebrate Washi Stamp.

By now, I’d like to assume that you are a pro when comes using the beautiful washi tapes by Pinkfresh but if not, this step is quite simple as all I did was to unroll the Celebrate Washi and tape it down over a large piece of white cardstock. Then, I used its coordinating die to cut out the images from the cardstock pieces just as, I have done it before with all Pinkfresh Studio Washi-tape Rolls. Lastly, to complete the card embellishments, I went ahead to use one of the stamp images from the coordinating stamp set to get the sentiment stamped and gold heat embossing on a small piece of white cardstock and then, I used its coordinating die not only to cut out the card sentiment from the cardstock piece but to cut out a few more from plain white cardstock and one of them from gold cardstock to layer them down to make it dimensional and to add up an extra metallic accent to the card sentiment as well.

Lastly, to get the card embellished, I went ahead to play around with all elements to find out where I was going to get them gluing down so, once I had found out their place, I got the card sentiment gluing down in the lower part of the smaller cardstock piece that is holding the front of the card together. Then, I got the strings of the balloon cluster gluing down in the left side of the same smaller cardstock piece. And lastly, I decided to add even more shine to the card by adding a gold die-cutting bow to the balloons; a gold bow which by the way, I had previously made by using mirrored gold cardstock and the dies including in Artistic Bows Die Set.

Last but not least, to finish the card off, I went ahead to secure even more the balloon cluster, so, to do that, I tuned the card around so, I could go and add a dot of liquid glue under the yellow balloon in the right side and under the smaller blue balloon in the left side. Then, I decided to skip any extra embellishments to let the shine from the bow and hot foil stamping shine along with the pops of colors from the balloons.
