Hey there, friends! Angela here on the blog today, and I don't know about you, but lately I've been swooning over the latest Pinkfresh release. The florals, the sentiments, the foil plate backgrounds - I love it all! Today I've got a card to share that features several of the new items, as well as Pinkfresh's Solid Foil Plate that was released a few months back. No foil shall go to waste on this card, I promise!

Foiled Arches Thank You Card

My eyes always seem to be drawn to geometric designs, and when I first saw the Arch Backdrop Hot Foil Plate, the wheels in my crafty brain started turning. This die fits vertically on an A2 card panel, but I decided to try an interlocking sort of design, lying the arches on their sides instead. To get started, I paired the Arch Backdrop plate with some shiny gold foil on an A2 panel of white cardstock. Once foiled, I reached for my Solid Foil Plate and another piece of white cardstock. This time, I used the leftover foil to create the reverse impression.

Using the coordinating die, I cut out the middle areas, then layered them on top of each other to create the background panel of my card. With that all set, I moved on to foiling and stenciling some flowers from the Brighter Days set. Brighter Days comes with a hot foil plate, layering stencils, stamp and die, so even if you don't have a hot foiling machine, you can absolutely achieve a similar look with the stamp set and gold embossing powder.

I used the same foil on the blooms as I did on the background, and layered inks in Candy Violet, Royal Kiss and Candy Apple (flowers), as well as fresh pear and olive (leaves). And, juuuust in case my hot foiling machine hadn't had enough of a workout already, I created a gold "Thanks" using the new Fancy Script Words Hot Foil Sentiments and coordinating die set. As I usually do, I die cut extras so that they could be stacked on top of each other for a chipboard-like look.

With all of my pieces complete, it was time to put them together. Foam tape went behind the background panel to give the card some dimension. (As many of my crafty friends know, I can't live without foam tape!) Next, I secured the flowers and leaves on top with liquid adhesive, partially covering the gap that was left where the arches intersect. I finished with the sentiment, and normally would add a few embellishments as well but this card had plenty of shine happening thanks all those foiled elements!

I hope this card has left you feeling excited to play with the latest Pinkfresh Studio release, and perhaps also inspires you to get your hands on a Solid Hot Foil Plate too. If you dislike wasting foil as much as I do, I think it'll be a well-used item in your stash! Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out this post. Have a wonderful day, and I'll see you back here soon!

So pretty! I just love the combination of the bold lines of the foiled elements contrasted with the delicate florals. This is a knock out!

Interlocking the arches was genius! That caught my eye right away especially since half was foiled. I normally go right for the flowers but this time those arches ares are stunning!

This is stunning! I was just playing with the Arch hot foil plate last night and was going to assemble my cards tonight so will have to try this! Am also going to try it on some pretty floral patterned and ombré paper.
