Florals | TaeEun Yoo
Hello Pinkfresh friends! Hope your week is off to a great start! It’s TaeEun here with a floral card. I was inspired by our August 2020 challenge.
The graphic shows some beautiful inspiration projects featuring the Pinkfresh Studio and Altenew Collaboration items. The soft and elegant warm colors were picked from the projects.
I used the beautiful floral cluster from Celebrate Today stamp set for my card and colored the image using our premium dye inks.
I started off by gold embossing the Celebrate Today image on a watercolor paper. I tapped the Premium ink pad on an acrylic block and used the colors as my watercolors to color the image. The ink colors I used for flowers are Clementine, Apricot, Raspberry Bliss, Coral Reef and Sunshine. The leaves were colored in Fresh Pear, Key Lime and Olive.
After the coloring was done I cut the image using the coordinating die. The flowers in the image aren’t overlapping so I could cut them in solo flowers, small floral clusters and branches to arrange them as I wanted.
To make the background I did watercolor wash in green colors which I used for the leaves and let it dry. After the panel was dry I adhered it on a white cardbase. I cut the leafy frame using the Foliage Frame Inset die from some white cardstock and foam mounted it on the background. The floral elements were arranged on it as shown in the picture. The die cut sentiment from Celebrate Us set was cut from a piece of watercolor paper which I watercolored in green, raised on three pieces of white die cuts and one shadow die cut and applied onto the card. The “for you” was stamped in Detail black.
I finished off the card with some light green Crystals.
That’s it from my side for today.
I hope I was able to inspire you with my card to play along at the August 2020 challenge! One cardmaking entry and one memory-keeping entry will receive a $50 gift card to the Pinkfresh Studio Store! The two winners will be randomly selected based on these two categories.
Make a paper project with Pinkfresh Studio product as the focus and play along! Please stop by our August 2020 challenge page for more inspiration and for the challenge rules!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hugs,
TaeEun

What a gorgeous card! I haven’t had a chance to play with my Celebrate Today set yet, but I may never have thought to separate the elements like that – how clever, and how pretty on the foliage frame inset die cut.
